STULZ-PLANAQUA builds MBR with innovative membrane cleaning technology (MCP)
For the wastewater treatment plant Hösel-Dickelsbach of the Bergisch-Rheinischer Wasserverband (Bergisch-Rhine Water Association) STULZ-PLANAQUA builds a membrane biological reactor (MBR, 2,800 PE) with innovative membrane cleaning technology. The process for a mechanical membrane cleaning (mechanical cleaning process = MCP) uses plastic granules as whirling bodies inside the airlift stream of the submerged membrane modules. The effects are an increase of the filtration capacity (reduction of required membrane surface), a significant reduction of the energy demand and chemical treatment.

STULZ-PLANAQUA has been awarded the re-construction and extension of a biological wastewater treatment plant for the Spanish factory Malgrat de Mar, Barcelona of the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim in Germany.

STULZ-PLANAQUA signs contract in Estonia for an extension of a wastewater treatment plant
On behalf of the Joint Venture STULZ-PLANAQUA GmbH / Skanska EMV AS, the leader STULZ-PLANAQUA signed a 6.5 Mio EURO contract with the Public Water Company “Tartu Veevärk” for the extension of the urban wastewater treatment plant (120.000 PE) in Tartu, Estonia. The designed-build project according to FIDIC standard is co-financed by the European Cohesion Fund.

STULZ-PLANAQUA GmbH signs contract for the extension of a wastewater treatment plant in Istanbul (Turkey)
STULZ-PLANAQUA GmbH has been awarded with the extension and modernization of a wastewater treatment plant at the Asian side of the Turkish metropol city of Istanbul. Within the contract works a thermophile sludge digestion and sludge drying stage will be integrated into the plant.

STULZ-PLANAQUA GmbH is responsible for the complete supply and installation of the entire electro-mechanical equipment. The total value of this contract amounts to EUR 20 Mio.
