Biogas plant Lustadt

Process steps

  • Silo system
  • Intake hopper with push floor discharge
  • Glass-enamelled fermenter
  • Gas purification (desulphurisation)
  • 2 combined heat and power plants (CHP), emergency gas / flare
  • Storage tank digestate with gas holder roof
  • Digestate preparation (separation)
  • Exhaust air treatment (biofilter)

Scope of services

  • Detailed engineering
  • Turn-key construction
  • Mechanical engineering, instrumentation technology and control system
  • Installation/commissioning of mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Training of plant staff

Process management takes place according to the flow principle and includes substrate preparation, fermentation, gas storage and gas utilization by 2 CHPs. Year-round heat consumption is guaranteed by a nearby nursery. At a present five million kWh of heat for the cultivation of seedlings and vegetables, potential savings of more than 30% is guaranteed by using high quality and redundant biogas plant components.
